Walking in the Brecon Beacons National Park
Walk this way. Why wouldn’t you? It’s what we do in the Brecon Beacons National Park Our green and very fresh landscapes are renowned for their big, open spaces. There are big skies too and Dark Skies for night-time strolls into star trek territory.
View
Oak View & Pine View are surrounded by beautiful countryside, including Llyn Y Fan which sits beneath the precipitous ridgeline of Bannau Sir Gaer. It’s an epic scene, the remnants of the landscape’s glacial past clearly visible in all directions.
The lake is a real wildlife haven. Look out for fish as they flip on the water’s surface, while up in the sky, riding the thermals, you’re likely to see red kites, buzzards, carrion crows and kestrels. There are many local walks for beginners (please ask) and for those who love a long day on the mountains … please see Routes below..
